Galavant cast release awesome music video

Galavant castAs a reaction to the #MoreGalavant campaign, members of the Galavant cast posted an epic music video to show their appreciation and to further the cause.

Following the cancellation of the brillian medieval musical show, Galavant, after two seasons, passionate fans have come together to campaign for it to be picked up by other networks. The movement, called #MoreGalavant, spawned an online petition to save the show as well as inspired thousands of fans to lobby and write to producers and networks to bring more attention to Galavant.

According to a report by Entertainment Weekly, the active participation of the fans inspired a reaction from the Galavant cast, in the form of an epic music video with both clips from the show and clips of various cast members and guest stars dancing along to Justin Timberlake’s catchy new hit song, “Can’t Stop the Feeling.”

The video begins with King Richard (Timothy Omundson) addressing the loyal fans and showing his appreciation for their passion:

“It warms the cockles of my heart to see everything you’re doing to save our beautiful little show.”

This is then followed by various cast members expressing their appreciation through dance and clever lip syncing to the song. Among the Galavant cast members who appear in the video dancing and smiling are Karen David (Princess Isabella), Genevieve Allenbury (Queen of Valencia), Ben Presley (Jester), and Muzz Khan (Barry), while various dancing scenes from the show are interspersed in the clip, showing main cast members Joshua Sasse (Galavant), Mallory Jansen (Madalena), Vinnie Jones (Gareth), and Luke Youngblood (Sid), as well as the other guest stars who appeared on the show during its past two seasons (Kylie Minogue, Hugh Bonneville, Ricky Gervais.)

But that’s not all. Other celebrities also appeared in the video to show their support for the show. Lord of the Rings star Billy Boyd was dancing along while holding a placard saying “You can’t eat this Hobbit!”, referencing a line from the show, and Mark Hamill himself makes a cameo to give a thumbs up and to show a “Galavanterrific!” sign.

Last but not least is a cameo from “Weird Al” Yankovic (who also guest starred during the Galavant season two finale) who excitedly proclaims:

“I can’t imagine any network not picking up this show. Now that it’s a hashtag campaign. Feel the power of the hashtag!”

With the developments in the #MoreGalavant campaign as well as talks of bringing Galavant to the stage, it seems like the show has not yet lost any of its musical magic.
