A new animated adaptation of Richard Adams’ classic novel, Watership Down, is in the works with an all-star voice cast.
According to a report on IGN, BBC and Netflix are currently collaborating on this project. Watership Down was a novel set in a dystopian world where where a clan of rabbits flee their home after humans have destroyed it.
This new mini-series will have 4 one-hour episodes. According to Variety, James McAvoy (X-Men) will play Hazel, Nicholas Hoult (Mad Max: Fury Road) will play Fiver, Ben Kingsley (The Jungle Book) will play General Woundwort, John Boyega (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) will play Bigwig, Gemma Arterton (Prince of Persia) will play Clover, and Olivia Colman (The Night Manager) will play Strawberry.
Watership Down has been previously adapted into a 1978 film and a TV series of 39 episodes that ran from 1999 to 2001.
