Final ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Trailer Reveals Major Character Appearance

X-Men-Apocalypse-Heroes-Poster20th Century Fox has revealed the final trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse. Director Bryan Singer’s follow-up to 2014’s Days of Future Past, will pit Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) and the X-Men against Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac) and his chosen four horsemen.

The new trailer gives us more insight into what to expect from the upcoming film. For one, Professor X (James McAvoy) will seemingly be kidnapped, leading to Mystique taking control and training and leading the X-Men against Apocalypse. Additionally, the family tie between Quicksilver (Evan Peters) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender) is confirmed as Quicksilver admits to Mystique that Magneto is his father. In that same vein, Nightcrawler, played by newcomer to the franchise Kodi Smit-McPhee, recognizes Mystique. In the comics, [possible spoiler alert] Mystique is the mother of Nightcrawler. While I highly doubt this will be addressed in Apocalypse, the recognition from Nightcrawler may hint at that relationship.

In addition to seeing some more action, one popular X-Men character is officially revealed as making an appearance. While the trailer does not confirm how much of a role he will play, Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine is teased at the very end as we see his famous adamantium claws. Check out the trailer below and feel free to let us know what you think in the comments.
