The Walking Dead to have extended season finale

The Walking Dead Rick and MichonneFans will have 30 minutes more to worry about the fates of their favorite characters in the season six finale of The Walking Dead.

Only two episodes left in a particularly intense season and the final episode promises to be a brutal one. Bloody finales are pretty much a staple of The Walking Dead but this one will be even longer than usual, according to a report by Entertainment Weekly.

Similar to last season’s finale, this one will be 90 minutes long instead of the usual 60 minutes. More time to let every new revelation sink in, especially since it has long been teased that the finale will introduce the next new villain of the series, Negan, who will be played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

As with all finales of this show, some characters are sure to fall. And we’ll have more time this year to stress over who doesn’t survive the season.

The Walking Dead season six airs every Sunday on AMC.
