A Series of Unfortunate Events cast announced

Patrick WarburtonSeveral characters have been cast for the Netflix adaptation of A Series of Unfortunate Events.

According to a report on Entertainment Weekly, Patrick Warburton (known as the voice of Kronk from The Emperor’s New Groove), has been confirmed to play Lemony Snicket in A Series of Unfortunate Events.

He will be joining previously announced cast members Malina Weissman (known for playing the younger version of Supergirl) who will be playing Violet Baudelaire and Louis Hynes who will be playing Klaus Baudelaire. The third Baudelaire orphan, Sunny, has yet to be cast.

Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother, Doctor Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog) has also been confirmed by Entertainment Weekly to play the dastardly Count Olaf (played by Jim Carrey in the 2004 film adaptation.)

A Series of Unfortunate EventsAs previously reported, the television series will be based on Lemony Snicket’s book series about three resourceful orphans trapped in various difficult situations.
