Watch the Ghostbusters international trailer

GhostbustersA new trailer for the all-female led Ghostbusters film has just been released.

After the release of the first trailer, another short clip of Ghostbusters has been shared with us, with some fun new footage.

Ghostbusters is directed by Paul Feig (Spy, The Heat, Bridesmaids). The new team consists of: Kristen Wiig as Erin Gilbert, a college professor and author of the paranormal; Melissa McCarthy as Abby Yates, Erin’s best friend and co-author; Kate McKinnon as Jillian Holtzmann, a nuclear engineer; and Leslie Jones as Patty Tolan, a street-smart NYC subway worker who has had firsthand experience with the supernatural.

The new trailer shows the members of the team involved in more hilarious antics like crashing a rock concert and bumping into things. Leslie Jones’s character, Patty, also makes a pretty direct reference to racism and sexism in society (and perhaps indirectly, in the film industry.)

Ghostbusters Chris Hemsworth as KevinThe trailer also gives us several glimpses with Chris Hemsworth’s receptionist, Kevin. One scene in particular shows Kevin presenting ideas for the Ghostbusters logo, some of which are less than ideal and to which the team reacts with understandable skepticism and a lack of enthusiasm.

More than defeating the paranormal trouble makers spreading chaos in New York City, the new Ghostbusters will also have to overcome the prejudices and preconceived notions of people who may have some qualms about an all-female team. But given their talents and skills, the team will be more than capable of proving themselves to everyone.

According to Empire Online, this Ghostbusters will feature cameos from many members of the original cast, including Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Sigourney Weaver, Ernie Hudson, and Annie Potts. Other members of the cast of the new film are Michael Kenneth Williams, Andy Garcia, Matt Walsh, and Neil Casey.

Ghostbusters will premiere on July 15, 2016.
