Grant Gustin’s Flash Set to Guest Star on ‘Supergirl’

EP Greg Berlanti alongside Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist

Executive producers Andrew Kreisberg and Greg Berlanti have revealed that Grant Gustin’s The Flash will guest star on CBS’ Supergirl on March 28. Story details explaining how The Flash will find himself in National City have not been revealed and there has been no evidence suggesting that Arrow and The Flash take place in the same universe as Supergirl. Being that The Flash has played with the idea of alternate universes this season, the idea of these two shows crossing over is not unlikely.

In a joint statement from executive producers Kreisberg and Berlanti the two had this to say about the upcoming crossover:

We are so incredibly excited to announce something that we have dreamed of happening since we starting making Supergirl — The Flash and Supergirl are teaming up! We want to thank Grant Gustin for making the time to come visit (on top of his already immense workload) and all of the folks at CBS, The CW, Warner Bros. and DC for working this out. And finally thanks to the fans and journalists who have kept asking for this to happen. It is our pleasure and hope to create an episode worthy of everyone’s enthusiasm and support.

So, what do you think of this upcoming crossover? Would you like both The Flash and Supergirl to take place in the same universe or would alternate universes make more sense? Feel free to let us know in the comments in look out for the official Supergirl/The Flash crossover on CBS this upcoming March 28.
