Warner Bros. Unveils First Official Footage from ‘Wonder Woman’

Wonder Woman, the fourth film in Warner Bros.’ DC cinematic universe, won’t land in theaters for a while, but that isn’t stopping Warner Bros. from giving fans a sneak peek at what to expect from the upcoming film. Last night on The CW’s 30-minute special, DC Films Presents: Dawn of the Justice League, we got our first look at actual footage from Wonder Woman.

Taking place in the 1920s, long before the events of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, we are given some brief shots of Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman in some early 20th century clothing, as well as her kicking ass and taking names in her iconic Amazonian outfit wielding both sword and shield. Chris Pine’s Steve Trevor, a potential love interest for Wonder Woman, also makes an appearance in the footage.

The brief segment featured on The CW’s special also includes some insight from both Gal Gadot and Chris Pine, as well as a rundown of who Wonder Woman is and how she ends up in our world, according to co-host DC Comics Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns. Wonder Woman is currently set to release in theaters June 23, 2017.
