Elves and swords come to MTV!
MTV is trying to up their original programming game with an ambitious production, adapting Terry Brooks’ beloved Shannara series for television. The Shannara Chronicles kicks off January 5th, 2016 and boasts an all-star cast (John Rhys-Davies, Manu Bennett, Austin Butler) and killer special effects and sets.
We chatted on the red carpet at New York Comic Con with the show runners, director and stars to get the scoop on the show.
Miles Millar, Jonathan Liebsman and Al Gough told us about the elaborate sets and how they built their cast around newcomer Poppy Drayton.
Teen star Austin Butler is ready for the next stage of his career (and so are we!).
Legendary Terry Brooks – the man behind the Shannara world – was awestruck when he saw the incredible sets built for this television adaptation. He’s excited, and he wants fans to love the show as much as he does!
