The Hulk joins Thor: Ragnarok

Hulk and ThorEveryone’s favorite angry green giant will be smashing his way through the Norse apocalypse in Thor: Ragnarok.

Deadline recently confirmed that Mark Ruffalo will be reprising his role as Dr. Bruce Banner/ the Incredible Hulk in the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok. Ruffalo’s character was last seen leaving his teammates and flying off on his own at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron. So far, no details have been released about how the near-invincible green giant will be joining forces with the God of Thunder, but it is sure to be an epic journey.

In the previous Thor films, the hammer-wielding Norse god fought his battles on his own with no appearances from his fellow Avengers (except that Hawkeye cameo in the first film), as opposed to Iron Man and Captain America working with Black Widow. This will also be the first time Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk will be appearing in a non-Avengers movie (not counting that post-credits cameo he did for the Iron Man 3.)

Ruffalo will be joining returning stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, and Jaimie Alexander, who will be reprising their roles as Thor, Loki, and Sif respectively. The third solo Thor film will be directed by New Zealand-born filmmaker Taika Waititi (Eagle Vs Shark, What We Do in the Shadows).

Thor: Ragnarok is set to be released on November 3, 2017.
