NYCC 2015: Exciting adventures to come in Once Upon a Time Season 5

Once Upon a Time Season 5 posterMore details on upcoming episodes were revealed during the Once Upon a Time panel at this year’s New York Comic Con. The panelists were show creators Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis, as well as star Jennifer Morrison, whose transformation into the Dark Swan has been the focus of the season so far. They dropped some juicy tidbits on the rest of the season, including some intriguing character team-ups.

“We’re going to see an adventure with Hook and the Evil Queen,” Adam Horowitz announced, according to TVLine, and he added that this episode will also feature flashbacks to Hook’s childhood, including a glimpse of his father.

With the news of Emilie de Ravin’s (Belle) pregnancy, the showrunners did not mention how this new development will be integrated into the story for the second half of the season.

“One way or the other, something’s gonna get done,” said Kitsis in TVLine while Horowitz added: “We’re very, very happy for Emilie, and the only thing we can say is that Eddy and I promise not to deliver the baby.”

Kitsis and Horowitz also confirmed a change of scheduling for the season as well as a thrilling special episode. Horowitz said:

“We’re going to be airing 10 nights, with a two-hour night on November 15. And part of that episode is going to be a Merida adventure with Mulan and Ruby.”

Merida Red and MulanHorowitz even tweeted a sneak peek of this awesome team-up.

Other episode teases featured in an article by Entertainment Weekly include a heartbreaking romance for Henry, more mythology of the first Dark One, Emma crushing a heart, and Emma using both Hook and Henry to advance her plans.
