Agent Carter Gets A Few Upgrades Preparing for 2016

After Marvel and ABC’s release of Agent Carter’s new Hollywood poster a couple weeks ago, it was clear that everything is changing this season. This new direction was only further confirmed at New York Comic Con by Jeph Loeb Friday night at the Agent’s of Marvel panel. Loeb added, “Agent Carter returns this year and we couldn’t be happier.” Our two favorite agents weren’t able to appear, due to being busy currently filming. After kicking Clark Gregg from the stage, telling him it wasn’t his time yet, Loeb treated fans to a special message from Jarvis, played by James D’Arcy, and Agent Carter herself, Hayley Atwell, previewing the season to come.

After specifically telling viewers there would be no return of Howard Stark as played by Dominic Cooper, the two “accidentally” galloped off into a green screen, showing none other than Cooper sweeping and appearing surprised. This was followed by a short clip depicting just how dangerous it can be to play around with Stark’s toys without knowing all his secrets. Unfortunately for Peggy, she learns this the hard way, pressing buttons in one of Stark’s cars and proving that even Stark can keep her surprised. Especially when flipped on her back after being presented with champagne.

Peggy is facing new challenges by being far from home and in the scary world that is Hollywood. At least Peggy will have some old friends (and enemies) in store for her new challenges. Confirmed at the panel was the return of Bridget Regan as Dottie Underwood, as well as Chad Michael Murray, who will be the new SSR head of the East coast office. Daniel Sousa, played by Enver Gjokaj, will be the new West coast SSR head. Other things in store for this season of Agent Carter are some new stars. Fans were thrilled to learn that their hopes had been answered, as Lotte Verbeek is joining the cast as Mrs. Jarvis herself. How big of a role Ana will have is still unknown. Another newbie will be Reggie Austin, playing Jason Wilkes, and Currie Graham as Calvin Chadwick.
