More members of Samwell Tarly’s family have been cast for the upcoming season of Game of Thrones, according to a report by Empire. We now have both of his parents as well as his sister, Talla. Freddie Stroma was already cast recently to play Sam’s brother, Dickon Tarly.
James Faulkner (Downton Abbey, Da Vinci’s Demons) will be playing the stern Tarly patriarch Randyll, while Samantha Spiro (London Spy) will be Sam’s mother, Melessa Tarly. Rebecca Benson (Vera, Shetland) will be playing Sam’s sister, Talla.
The Tarly family members are the latest additions to Game of Thrones‘ ever-growing cast for season six, joining Ian McShane, Pilou Asbaek, Max von Sydow, and Richard E. Grant.
Game of Thrones season six will air April next year.
