Jamie Chung returns to Once Upon a Time

Once Upon a Time‘s fifth season will welcome back brave warrior Mulan, played by Jamie Chung, according to E!News. The report confirmed that Chung will be reprising her role for a multi-episode arc when the series premieres this fall.

Mulan was last seen on the fairy tale series in season three when she decided to become a member of Robin Hood’s (Sean Maguire) Merry Men, following a heartbreaking meeting with the love of her life, Princess Aurora (Sarah Bolger.) With Aurora now residing in Storybrooke, a reunion between them might be possible. But details surrounding Mulan’s return to the story have been kept under wraps.

But Chung is very excited to be returning to the show. “Are you kidding me?” she told E! News, “I think it would be really disappointing to leave the audience with this giant question mark. I would go back in a heartbeat.”

Chung was last seen in NBC’s short-lived series, Believe. The actress had expressed hopes that should her character reappear on the show, she would be able to have a fully-developed romance that she could “sink [her] teeth into with that character.” Mulan fans can rejoice as they will be able to see their favorite warrior in action this fall.

Once Upon a Time season 5 debuts Sept. 27 on ABC.
