Jessica Jones Finally Has A Premier Date

Finally we have a release date! Today Marvel Entertainment released their premiere announcement regarding Netflix’s Jessica Jones. They dropped a 54-second video clip announcing that the highly anticipated Jessica Jones will hit Netflix on November 20. In true Netflix style, all thirteen episodes will be available at once for a worthy binge-watching experience. The video displayed shots of Alias Investigations amidst Jessica’s New York stomping ground, set to the Of Monsters and Men song “Thousand Eyes.” Also heard in the background calling Jessica’s name was the ominous voice of none other than the ruthless Purple Man, also known as Zebediah Killgrave, played by David Tennant.

The series, portraying Krysten Ritter as lead Jessica Jones, promises not to be as dark as the comics. Yet it’s generally agreed to be much darker than Marvel’s Daredevil release last spring. Jessica Jones began shooting around New York in February and finished in August. Taking place in the Marvel-verse that will also host Luke Cage and Iron Fist, it is the second of four collaborations between Netflix and Marvel to create The Defenders.

Take a look at the premiere below. What do you think? How many of you are planning a binge party for the 20th?
