Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard On Board for Jurassic World Sequel

Chris-Bryce-Jurassic WorldIt’s official, the Jurassic World sequel is in production. Considering the enormous success of the film, which grossed more than $1.5 billion worldwide, this comes as no big surprise. The follow-up to the summer blockbuster is currently just called Jurassic World 2 and while not a lot of details have been revealed about the plot, Empire confirmed that stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will be reprising their roles as Owen Grady and Claire Dearing. Jurassic World writers Colin Trevorrow (who also directed the film) and Derek Connolly are penning the script for the sequel, though Trevorrow said that he will not be directing this next film.

The first film provided enough loose ends for a potential sequel during its final scenes with the escape of Dr. Henry Wu (B.D. Wong) with some valuable genetic specimens. The crucial survival of these dinosaur samples and their transfer to secure locations will surely have serious repercussions, the kind of which we can already imagine. It looks like Owen and Claire will have their hands full in the aftermath of the park’s descent into chaos.

According to Universal, Jurassic World 2 will wreak dinosaur havoc on June 22, 2018.
