Captain America: Civil War links to Thor: Ragnarok

Lady Sif Jaimie AlexanderCaptain America: Civil War ushers in the third phase of Marvel’s Cinematic Universe, and while it already promises to end in a very dramatic way for all the Avengers, it will also apparently have some links to the upcoming Thor film, Thor: Ragnarok.

In an interview with LA Times’ Hero Complex blog, Jaimie Alexander (Lady Sif) hinted at a narrative tie-in between the two films. “There’s a lot of great stuff they’ve peppered in through Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Avengers [and] Captain [America: Civil War] will have some stuff,” Alexander said in the interview.

She also advised fans to keep their eyes out for various clues spread out in Civil War. “There’s just all kinds of Easter eggs and hints if you’re paying attention,” Alexander said, “They’re so good at interweaving everything throughout those films.”

Fans of Lady Sif can also rejoice as Alexander added that her character will have a “pivotal role” in the next Thor film. But she couldn’t reveal more details on what Marvel has in store for us.

“Marvel, I think on purpose, they don’t tell me certain things, because they know I’ll be like, ‘So here’s what’s gonna happen,'” she admitted.

But with the little we know about the beginning of Marvel’s third phase, and with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Doctor Strange joining the mix before Thor: Ragnarok comes out, it’s clear that the cinematic universe is about to get extremely complicated. But this only gives us much more to be excited about in the next few years.
