The 67th Emmy Nominations were announced last Thursday and Darren Criss, best known as Blaine on Fox’s musical hit Glee, earned a nomination – but not for his role on screen. The 28-year-old actor and singer proved to those unfamiliar with his work with Team StarKid that he’s also a significant threat as a composer and songwriter in Glee‘s final season. Criss composed a swan song for Lea Michele’s character, Rachel Berry, for the final episode of Glee‘s six-season run. “This Time,” the second song that Criss wrote for Glee, has earned him an Emmy nomination for outstanding original music and lyrics.
