Meet the Cast of Colony: SDCC Edition

San Diego Comic Con offered a sneak peek at the new USA sci-fi drama Colony, starring Josh Holloway and Sarah Wayne Callies. From Lost’s Carlton Cuse and Hercules’ Ryan Condal, this ten episode series looks at family drama and loss in a changed world.

Holloway (Lost) and Callies (Walking Dead) are the leads in Colony, as loving marrieds who are struggling with the disappearance of their son in a terrifying new world order. They talked about the character-driven drama at the heart of their new series.

Carlton Cuse and Ryan Condal (EP/writers) talked about the influences that led to their premise – an occupied Los Angeles and the toll it takes on families. Pictures of Parisians during the occupation of their city began the seed that has become Colony.

Peter Jacobson (Proxy Governor Alan Snyder) signed on for a couple of key reasons: Carlton Cuse for one and the other? Giving a new take to a standard bad guy character.
