Batman Joins Forces with the Teenange Mutant Ninja Turtles in Upcoming Crossover

In a move no one saw coming, DC Comics and IDW Publishing are teaming up to bring Batman and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles together in one 6-issue mini-series debuting this Fall. Of course this wouldn’t be the first time the two publishers have worked together, having teamed up on Star Trek/Legion of Super-Heroes and the much more recent Star Trek/Green Lantern: Spectrum War.

The appropriately titled Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be written James Tynion IV, who has worked on both Batman and Batman Eternal, and will be drawn by Freddie E. Williams II, who has also worked on has fair share of Batman stories as well as Robin and Green Arrow. Kevin Eastman, the original co-creator of TMNT, will provide variant covers for the series.

According to Tynion, Batman/TMNT is “a fanboy dream come true”. In a recent press release, Tynion mentions how he enjoys viewing “the world of Batman through new eyes”.
