Ash vs. The Evil Dead – Trailer Premiere

It’s finally happening! After waiting a hundred or so years, we are getting more Evil Dead!

Ash vs. The Evil Dead is coming from the original filmmakers – Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert, and Bruce Campbell – and will premiere appropriately on Saturday, October 31 at 9pm (ET/PT) on STARZ. There are ten episodes, thirty minutes each, and we are assuming gore, humor, and chain saws.

The trailer for the series was released during the series’ San Diego Comic Con panel, which is where all the goodness has been happening over the past few days.

The incredible Bruce Campbell reprises his role as Ash, the stock boy, aging lothario and chainsaw-handed monster hunter who has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead.  When a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind, Ash is finally forced to face his demons –personal and literal.  Destiny, it turns out, has no plans to release the unlikely hero from its “Evil” grip.

The rest of the cast includes Lucy Lawless (Salem, Spartacus, and oh right, Xena!) as Ruby, Ray Santiago (Touch, Meet the Fockers) as Pablo Simon Bolivar, and Ash’s loyal sidekick, Dana DeLorenzo (A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas) as Kelly Maxwell, and Jill Marie Jones (Sleepy Hollow) as Amanda Fisher.
