Hannibal and The Player Coming to SDCC

This year’s Comic Con gets more and more exciting with returning fan favorites and intriguing new shows. Cast members of the uniquely artistic cannibal series, Hannibal, will be present to support the show’s final season at NBC as well as representatives of new shows, The Player and Blindspot.

HannibalGet a taste of the iconic “Red Dragon” story arc of the critically acclaimed Hannibal during a sneak peek and Q&A panel on July 11 (5:00-5:45 p.m., Ballroom 20) with stars Hugh Dancy (Will Graham), Richard Armitage (Francis Dolarhyde, the Red Dragon himself!), and executive producers Bryan Fuller and Martha De Laurentiis.

The third season of Hannibal airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. on NBC.

Discover NBC’s new drama Blindspot about a international plot surrounding a Jane Doe (Lady Sif NBC Blindspotherself, Jamie Alexander) who is found in Times Square naked, with no memories, and covered in  strange and intricate tattoos that serve as the only clues to her identity and a number of crimes to be solved.

There will be a Preview Night Screening on July 8 (6-10 p.m., Ballroom 20) or the Pilot Screening on July 11 (11:15a.m.-12:15 p.m., Room 6A) followed by a Q&A panel moderated by Kristen Baldwin (Yahoo! TV editor-in-chief). Panelists include star Jaimie Alexander and executive producers Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and Martin Gero.

The showrunners have also prepared some interesting activities to promote the show. Fans can learn more about Blindspot at Tin Fish restaurant in Gaslamp Square where they can receive both temporary tattoo sleeves and have a photo op where their heads will be placed over a tattooed body not unlike Jane Doe’s character. Fans cal also go on a scavenger hunt throughout the Gaslamp District to try and spot Jane Doe look-alikes for a chance to win $1,000!

Blindspot premieres Monday, Sept. 21 at 10 p.m. on NBC.

NBC The PlayerDon’t miss the first look at The Player, starring the one and only Wesley Snipes and Charity Wakefield (Sense and Sensibility, Wolf Hall) in a high-stakes, Las Vegas-set thriller where powerful people gamble on the ability of former military operative turned security expert Philip Winchester (Strike Back, Fringe) to stop horrible crimes from happening.

There will be premiere pilot screening and Q&A panel on July 9 (11:15a.m.-12:15p.m., Room 6A) moderated by Rob Moynihan (TV Guide). Panelists include Wesley Snipes, Philip Winchester, and executive producer John Rogers.

The Player premieres Thursday, Sept. 24 at 10 p.m. on NBC.
