Glee and Looking star Jon Groff to rejoin Hamilton on Broadway on July 13th.

Jonathan Groff is reprising his acclaimed role of King George III in the Broadway bound production of  Lin-Manuel Miranda’s hip-hop biomusical Hamilton, starting July 13 at the Richard Rodgers.

The Looking and Glee star is having plenty of success following the cancellation of his HBO series, and the end of Glee. Hamilton is eagerly awaited on the Big White Way, after a successful off-Broadway run, and the rumor of Groff returning is now finally confirmed.

Tony and Grammy Award winner Lin-Manuel Miranda stars as an  unlikely founding father, a bastard orphan to Washington’s right hand man – with some sex scandals and war heroics for good measure. Hamilton features George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Eliza Hamilton, and lifelong Hamilton frenemy, Aaron Burr as – we can safely say – you’ve never seen them before!

This vibrant musical will showcase Jonathan Groff’s fantastic acting and singing skills, and might just put him in contention for some awards next year!

Previews for Hamilton begin July 13th and the show officially opens on August 6th. For tickets, visit Broadway.com.
