NBC’s Parks and Recreation will be wrapping up in the new year. The Amy Poehler-led show has been making news lately with casting announcements, including John Hamm as a bumbling federal employee and the return of beloved former cast members Rashida Jones and Rob Lowe. Until today fans didn’t know when they would next be able to spend time with their favorite Pawneeans.
This season of Parks and Rec will be set three years in the future, following the time jump in season six’s last episode. Leslie Knope is heading the Midwestern branch of the National Parks Service, while she and husband Benn Wyatt raise their triplets.
Parks and Rec‘s seventh and final season will premiere on NBC on Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at 8/7c. The final season will comprise of weekly back-to-back episodes until the one hour series finale on February 24.
