“Everything Ends” for Marvel Comics in Spring 2015

Marvel Teaser - 15 EVERYTHING ENDS

“Everything Ends” Spring 2015

For the past few weeks Marvel Comics has been teasing different events to occur during the Summer of 2015. It’s been theorized that all of these teasers are connected to their upcoming Secret Wars event, which was originally announced during this year’s New York Comic Con. While a few of these teasers hint at new events, the majority of them seem to be revisiting classic events from Marvel’s past.

The events teased have been Civil War, Age of Ultron vs. Marvel Zombies, Years of Future Past, Planet Hulk, Armor Wars, House of M, Infinity Gauntlet, Old Man Logan, Inhumans: Attilan Rising, Age of Apocalypse, Future Imperfect, Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows, Avengers vs. X-Men, and X-Men ’92. All of the teaser posters for these apparent events can be viewed at the bottom of this article.

If things couldn’t get anymore confusing, today Marvel teased that everything will end in Spring 2015. Their newly released cryptic poster (pictured right) simply reads the words “Everything Ends” fading from grey to white, along with the words “Spring 2015” accompanying it at the bottom.

Marvel has been pretty hush-hush on what they have planned, so as of right now there have only been theories floating around online as to what this all means.  Could the end of everything at Marvel literally mean just that? Is Marvel planning on doing line-wide reboot like DC Comics did with The New 52 in 2011? That might prove doubtful, considering how much flack DC has received (and still receives) for The New 52. Whatever Marvel has planned it’s definitely something big, and “Everything Ends” probably won’t be the last of their teasers. Until we know for sure what Marvel is cooking up feel free to share your thoughts and theories in the comments.
