Avengers: Age of Ultron – Idris Elba Drops Some Casting Spoilers

thor-the-dark-world-heimdallAvengers: Age of Ultron is bringing backing most of the cast from The Avengers, but there was one particular character that no one expected to return in the sequel. However, Idris Elba revealed something, something he probably shouldn’t have, in a recent interview he did with the Telegraph. Potential spoilers ahoy!

In the interview, Elba said that he would be appearing in Avengers: Age of Ultron, which is a huge surprise, but that’s not all. It was while discussing his hectic filming schedule that he let slip about the scene he shot, and he also mentioned who else would be in the scene with him:

I’m in Avengers[: Age of Ultron]. And I’m doing a scene with Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston and they’re like, ‘Aren’t you [meant to be] in Ibiza?’

Yes, that’s right, there will be a scene somewhere featuring Thor, Heimdall, and Loki. Previous reports had stated that Loki, played by Tom Hiddleston, would not be returning for the sequel, but apparently that has changed. Of course, we don’t know what this scene will be. Maybe it’s an after-credits sequence that will lead into Thor: Ragnarok, or maybe it will be something Thor sees under the influence of the Scarlet Witch. We just don’t know at this point, but fans will no doubt be excited to see another favorite added to the cast.

Avengers: Age of Ultron will open on April 24, 2015 in the UK and on May 1 in the US. What do you think about this casting news? How do you think Heimdall and Loki will appear in the film? Let us know in the comments!
