CBS Decides to Keep ‘Extant’ Alive

I don’t mind admitting I’m pretty surprised. CBS has announced that Extant will return for a second season. This is despite unimpressive finale ratings of 5.4 million viewers and a 1.0.

Whether it was the star power of Halle Berry, or a decision by CBS to be friendly to its sci-fi (the network has also renewed Under The Dome), this means we can expect to have the opportunity to see more of Berry, Goran Visnjic, and hopefully Pierce Gagnon – though the last we heard from Ethan, he’d kind of lost his android body. (What’s in store for Molly’s half-alien kid is anyone’s guess.)
