Another young version of a classic Batman villain is heading to Gotham on FOX. Nicholas D’Agosto, who currently appears in Showtime’s Masters of Sex, has been cast as Harvey Dent, Gotham City’s future district attorney who eventually becomes the criminal known as Two-Face. The role of Harvey Dent/Two-Face was most recently portrayed by Aaron Eckhart in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight. Other actors to take on the character were Billy Dee Williams in Tim Burton’s Batman (1989), and Tommy Lee Jones in Joel Schumacher’s campy addition Batman Forever (1995).

According to Deadline, Gotham‘s Harvey Dent will be portrayed as a young, idealistic assistant district attorney who shows momentary glimpses of the villain he will eventually become. If Gotham‘s pilot episode proved anything with their introduction of Edward Nygma/The Riddler, it’s that we will most likely hear some teasing dialogue from a few of the show’s characters. “Oh, Harvey. You’re such a two-face.”

Now, sound off, Gothamites. What do you think about Harvey Dent being brought into Gotham? Do you think Nicholas D’Agosto is a suitable choice for the role? Let us know in the comments.
