
The highly anticipated new take on Batgirl begins Wednesday, October 8, 2014. Batgirl has exploded on the internet in recent months, with tons of reader-created fan art of the character’s new design and some people already cosplaying in her new and improved costume. Just head over to the BatgirlOfBurnside.Tumblr.com if you’re unaware.
The new arc beginning in Batgirl #35 sees Barbara Gordon/Batgirl ditch her old getup, create a new costume, and move to the hip and happening Burnside district after a fire destroys all of her possessions. Taking over on the series are writers Brenden Fletcher (Wednesday Comics) and Cameron Stewart (Assassin’s Creed: Brahman), and artist Babs Tarr.
