Dominic Purcell will be reunited on The CW’s The Flash with his former Prison Break co-star, Wentworth Miller, who was recently cast in the role of Leonard Snart/Captain Cold on The Flash. Purcell has been cast as the DC Comics villain, Heat Wave. Purcell’s Heat Wave will make his first appearance in the 4th episode of The Flash‘s premiere season and will team up with Miller’s Leonard Snart in the 10th episode.

Mick Rory, a.k.a. Heat Wave, a pyromaniac who first appeared in The Flash #140 (1963), has continued to be an adversary for Barry Allen/The Flash in the pages of DC Comics since his incarnation. In the comics he is a member of The Rogues, a team of super-villains The Flash faces off against on numerous occasions.

In addition to Prison Break, Dominic Purcell has a appeared in numerous projects since the early 90s. The Flash wouldn’t be Purcell’s first appearance in a comic book property. In 2004, Purcell played Dracula himself in the critically panned Blade: Trinity alongside Wesley Snipes.

The Flash premieres Tuesday, October 7 at 8/7c on The CW.
