New Neil Gaiman Short Story Collection Coming in 2015

Neil Gaiman with his BlackBerryThe great Neil Gaiman always seems to be doing a million things at once. He’s still scribbling away at his Sandman prequel, despite delays, and his iconic book American Gods is being made into a TV show. Oh, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt is still in the process of getting a Sandman movie ready for the big screen. So naturally it’s time for another book, right?

This bit of news almost passed me by because it was revealed rather quietly through Gaiman’s tumblr account. In response to a fan’s question, Gaiman said that a new short story collection of his will be released next year. Trigger Warning: Short Fictions and Disturbances will be available on February 3, 2015, and it looks like it won’t just be previously published stories, according to this quote from Gaiman here:

I’m finishing the very last short story of the next collection RIGHT NOW. Everything else has been written: the stories, the introduction, all that…

I suppose “finishing” could refer to editing, but I’m hopeful that means there will be plenty of brand new Gaiman short fiction in this upcoming volume.

Looking forward to the new book? Wondering how Neil Gaiman can get all this done and still not be a wizard (or is he)? Let us know in the comments below!
