Adrianne Palicki is set to guest star in the fifth episode of the upcoming second season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as secret agent Bobbi Morse, a.k.a. Mockingbird.

This wouldn’t be the first time Palicki has portrayed a comic book character on screen. Before Gal Gadot was ever chosen to play Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman, Palicki was set to play the character in the 2011 Wonder Woman TV series developed by David E. Kelly (Boston Legal). Unfortunately for her that series was never picked up, but now she’ll at least have the opportunity to play another major comic book character, this time having roots in Marvel Comics.

Dr. Barbara “Bobbi” Morse first appeared in Astonishing Tales #6 in 1971, but didn’t take on the Mockingbird alias until 1976 in Marvel Super Action #1. In 2010, the character even shared a series with Hawkeye entitled Hawkeye & Mockingbird. She can currently be seen in Marvel’s current Secret Avengers title.

Other than David E. Kelly’s Wonder Woman pilot, a few of Adrianne Palicki’s other credits include From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Red Dawn (2011), Friday Night Lights, and Supernatural. What do you think about Palicki joining the cast as Mockingbird? Feel free to let us know in the comments.
