Ant-Man has begun filming in San Francisco, as of Monday August 18, according to Peyton Reed’s Twitter account. And not long after he posted that bit of news, the first official photo from on set was released.
This brand new photo shows Paul Rudd as a somewhat beaten-up Scott Lang wearing a hoodie (sadly, not the Ant-Man suit). Check it out:
In addition to this first look at Peyton Reed’s version of Ant-Man, a slew of new cast members has been revealed. John Slattery, Judy Greer, rapper T.I., Bobby Cannavale, Abby Ryder Fortson, Wood Harris, and Gregg Turkington have all joined the project, though which characters they’ll be playing has not been released. John Slattery, though, has previously appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the older version of Howard Stark in Iron Man 2. It is not clear if he is reprising that role, most likely in flashbacks with the original Ant-Man Hank Pym, or if he will be playing a new character, though the odds are good that he’ll be playing Stark once again, even if Marvel hasn’t officially revealed which character he is.
