The proceeds from Nerd HQ’s ticket sales go directly to Operation Smile, a charity that provides free surgeries to children with cleft lips and other facial deformities across the world. Thanks to Nerd HQ and all who attended their panels, they were able to raise over $260K towards this cause, according to a recent tweet from Chuck star and founder of The Nerd Machine, Zachary Levi.

As stated before, one of the many stars that showed up for “Conversations for a Cause” was Stephen Amell, the star of the hit CW series, Arrow. Fans were able to ask him a slew of questions while Zachary Levi moderated. Amell discussed everything from filming difficulties to his input on season three, and even briefly discussed his role on the now-cancelled HBO comedy, Hung.

A few highlights during Amell’s panel discussion were when he stated he wouldn’t rule out being a contestant on American Ninja Warrior, and him displaying confidence that he can “beat” Hawkeye from The Avengers “in any type of contest.” What was most interesting during the panel were his thoughts on the fact that Arrow takes place in an entirely different universe than the upcoming Man of Steel sequel, Batman v Superman. He states, “we don’t need to be a part of [DC’s] cinematic universe to justify Arrow‘s existence” and “if we keep going and we keep doing our job you’re going to get the Justice League every Wednesday night.” As of right now, that league can consist of Arrow, The Flash, Canary, Arsenal, and if Amell had things his way, Green Lantern.

If you’re an Arrow fan and you missed out on Nerd HQ’s panel with Stephen Amell, then you’ll definitely want to watch the full video below, and don’t forget to check out Operation Smile as well.
