Lionsgate’s Mockingjay Campaign Takes It To Another Level

For the first part of the last installment of the epic Hunger Games series, Lionsgate has taken their media campaign to new heights. Like with the plot of the third novel, Mockingjay, Lionsgate has been using the social media profiles of The Capitol to engage in propaganda similar to that in the novel, in which the Rebels overtake The Capitol’s news feed to get their messages out to the general public. Their newest trailer showcases this idea.

In the spirit of San Diego Comic Con, Lionsgate unveiled a limited edition poster through The Capitol’s Instagram profile for a short time, before deleting it. A similar thing was also posted on The Capitol’s Twitter account last week, with a hidden Mockingjay source code, before it was similarly deleted.  The intricate poster was created by artist WK Interact.

Lionsgate is giving away a signed copy of this poster. Head over to to find out how to win!
