The Walking Dead Exclusive Interviews from The Saturn Awards

McBride with her Saturn Award

McBride with her Saturn Award

Before she took home the Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress in a TV Series, we had a few words with Melissa McBride, whose Walking Dead character, Carol,  has been the center of the most tragic, emotional, and complicated storylines in the show’s series (and for a character-driven show about death and humanity, that’s saying a lot). McBride shared with us some of her experiences working on the intense 4th season of The Walking Dead, and shows striking humility for one of the Queens of the zombie genre right now. Did we expect anything else?

Watch the whole Melissa McBride interview (alas, no spoilers on what’s next for Carol):

We also spoke to 11-year old Kyla Kenedy, who broke hearts as The Walking Dead‘s Mika. Hear what this incredibly poised young actress has to say about her experiences on the set, and what’s next for her:

In addition to McBride’s win for Best Supporting Actress is a TV Series, The Walking Dead also won the award for Best Syndicated/Cable Television Series. See our complete listing of 2014 Saturn Awards winners.
