At the heels of this season’s finale of Glee, Chris Colfer (Glee, Struck by Lighting) has been announced to star in the upcoming biopic about British playwright Noel Coward (Private Lives, Blithe Spirit). The current working title is Noel and it is written by Martin Sherman (Bent, Mrs Henderson Presents). Joe Stephenson will be directing and will also be producing the project with Julia Valentine.
The biopic will portray the early and influences of Coward. In talks of also joining the cast are Sir Ian McKellen (The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug), Vanessa Redgrave (Black Box), and Jonathan Pryce (G.I. Joe: Retaliation).
Production is being aimed for a late summer shoot in the UK.
