Stan Lee to Appear in Guardians of the Galaxy After All

Back in January, Stan Lee revealed that he would not be making his usual Marvel cameo in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy. Fans were disappointed, but it wouldn’t be the first time that he didn’t show up in a Marvel film, especially one where that he hadn’t had a hand in creating the comic. But now rejoice! Stan Lee has confirmed that he will in fact be making a cameo in the film.

During an appearance at Chicago expo c2e2, Lee answered a fan’s question about whether or not he would be in the film by admitting he had already filmed his scene. He went on to tease what he’d filmed:

I can’t tell you what it is, but I can tell you I do not understand what it was or why I did it. It has me with a girl – a very pretty girl – that’s all I can tell you.

Guardians of the Galaxy will arrive in theaters August 1 of this year, with a traditional Stan Lee cameo in tow. Happy that he changed his mind? Let us know in the comments below!
