Justice League New 52While most fans have optimistically assumed Warner Bros. would eventually make a Justice League feature film, there has never been confirmation that it would happen. Until now. Through an exclusive article from The Wall Street Journal, Warner Bros. president of worldwide production Greg Silverman confirmed that Justice League is in the works.

In reference to the upcoming project Silverman stated, “it will be a further expansion of this universe,” and also added, “Superman vs Batman will lead into Justice League.” This update is not surprising. Disney/Marvel is currently making tremendous strides with their cinematic universe and it only makes sense that DC/Warner Bros. would follow suit

In addition to this news, it has been confirmed that Zack Snyder (Man of Steel) will direct Justice League. Snyder is presently working on Warner Bros.’ upcoming Man of Steel sequel, currently dubbed Batman vs. Superman.

It certainly seems Warner Bros. is putting a lot of faith in director Zack Snyder. It’s as if he’s their answer to Marvel Studios’ Joss Whedon (The Avengers). Do you think having Snyder helm this latest project is a wise move by Warner Bros.? Which Justice League heroes would you like to see in Snyder’s take on the Justice League? Let us know in the comments.
