New Video for Lily Allen’s ‘Sheezus’

Lily Allen’s third album is still about a month away, but today we have a video for the title song, ‘Sheezus’.

In the colorful video, Allen name drops many of the artists that have risen to the top of their game in the years since she released her last album, It’s Not Me, It’s You in 2009 (names include Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and Lorde, among others).

As she told Rolling Stone Magazine, “I don’t like being compared to other people because I’m quite aware that there are people who are far more talented and have better singing voices than me. I don’t like being put in the same category as people because we have the same genitals and boobs. Nobody is going to write ‘Lily Allen vs. Ed Sheeran.’ It just doesn’t happen.” Instead, she calls “Sheezus” a call to arms of unity for the women she names, “I want all of them to be Sheezus, and I want to be Sheezus too.”

Sheezus, the album, drops in May. Watch the video for the song below.
