Three Cast Members Added to NBC’s ‘Constantine’

NBC’s Constantine series, based on the comic book character of the same name, has just cast Lucy Griffiths (True Blood), Harold Perrineau (Lost), and Charles Halford (True Detective). They will be joining Matt Ryan (Criminal Minds), who will be playing the title role of John Constantine.

In this series about supernatural detective John Constantine, Lucy Griffiths will play the role of Liv. Her character will have the power to see the supernatural world around her, and will team up with Constantine to fight evil and master her abilities. Harold Perrineau will play an angel by the name of Manny who will watch over Constantine and help when necessary. He also has the ability step into peoples’ bodies, much like the DC Comics character Deadman. Lastly, Charles Halford will play Constantine’s oldest friend, Chas. Chas is described as having “powerful survival skills that might possibly be supernatural.” You may recall in the 2005 Constantine film starring Keanu Reeves, the role of Chas was played by Transformers star Shia LaBeouf.

The pilot for NBC’s Constantine is currently in development with Game of Thrones alum Neil Marshall set to direct. Constantine will be executive produced by Man of Steel co-writer David S. Goyer and The Mentalist executive producer Daniel Cerone.
