For the long-awaited fourth season of Game of Thrones, HBO has released a series of promotional posters, one for each major character. The posters feature the phrase “Valar morghulis,” which is High Valyrian for “All men must die.” It will come as no surprise to viewers of the first three seasons and readers of the books that author George R.R. Martin has a tendency to kill off the characters you love the most when you least expect it. Given the theme of these posters, it appears that season four will be no exception.
While we can still see a crown upon King Joffrey’s head and Tyrion in handcuffs, you may notice the new face of Michiel Huisman, who is replacing Ed Skrein in the role of Daario Naharais.
