In a tweet on January 28th, Chris Colfer (Glee, Struck By Lightning) announces his new role in Marza Animation Planet’s Robodog. This is the first original 3D from the Marza company. UK-based Timeless Films will be handling the international sale and will start with the project sales in Berlin during February’s European Film Market.
Robodog will be directed by Henry F. Anderson III (Stuart Little). Joining Colfer is voice work and movie veteran Ron Perlman (Tangled, Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters).
As described by Screen Daily:
The family adventure revolves around a bright, energetic but over-zealous robotic dog and his grumpy old “real” dog friend who is set in his ways and has little patience for anything new.
The project is currently in pre-production and voice work is slated to begin on February 1st.
