Jessica de Gouw, who currently stars on NBC’s Dracula, will soon return to her role on Arrow as Helena Bertinelli/Huntress in an episode entitled “Birds of Prey.” Helena Bertinelli was last seen in the season one episode, “The Huntress Returns.” Here’s TV Guide‘s description of the upcoming episode, “Birds of Prey”:
The last we saw of Helena Bertinelli, Oliver’s (Stephen Amell) spurned former lover was on the hunt for her father, crime boss Frank Bertinelli (Jeffrey Nordling) after he had her fiancé killed. Helena will return to Starling City in hopes of exacting revenge after the Arrow arrests Frank. However, to kill him, she’s going to have to go through the Arrow… and Canary (Caity Lotz)!
In regards to Jessica de Gouw’s return, executive producer Marc Guggenheim states, “We consider Jessica a member of the Arrow family and we’re looking forward to having her back for an episode everyone will be talking about after.”
Sounds like something to look forward to. With a title like “Birds of Prey” you can make a lot of wild assumptions. Maybe an alliance will be formed between Huntress and Canary thus spawning a new superhero team DC readers know as the Birds of Prey? We’ll just have to wait and see.
