Neil Gaiman’s beloved Sandman graphic novel series has had rumors flying around it about a possible movie adaptation for a while. Now it looks like one is finally in the works. Set to produce the movie is Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who revealed his role in the film via twitter:
Some excited fans jumped to the wrong conclusion that he was going to play Morpheus, the titular character, and possibly direct as well, but he later explained his role:
Just to clarify, folks. I’ve signed on as a producer on Sandman. The rest remains to be seen. Delighted you guys are excited. I am too!
So that means he might play him, right? There’s still some hope then. We’ll keep you updated as more details develop.
