Update on Marvel’s New Netflix Shows

Marvel is looking for show runners for their four new series on Netflix. They’ve found one so far, with a second one possibly in talks.

Jessica JonesFirst, Melissa Rosenberg, former head writer for Dexter and screenwriter for the Twilight film series, will be in charge of Jessica Jones. Rosenberg was previously attached to write a drama on ABC about the same character, AKA Jessica Jones, back in 2010.

Second, Drew Goddard is supposedly in talks to be show runner for Daredevil. Goddard has written for Buffy the Vampire Slayer and he directed and co-wrote The Cabin in the Woods, which gives him history with Marvel’s favorite writer/director Joss Whedon.

Luke Cage and Iron Fist are also in production, with the four shows existing in a shared universe. But we don’t get to see them come to life until 2015.
