Ed Sheeran has released his first solo song in two years, “I See Fire,” and it’s for the soundtrack of the upcoming The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. The song has been released on iTunes, which is currently its only venue, but Peter Jackson uploaded a video, mixing behind-the-scenes footage of Sheeran making the song with scenes from The Hobbit set to the new tune.
