Stan Lee’s Mighty 7 Trilogy Cast Announcement

Stan LeeEarlier this year, there was an announcement for an upcoming superhero trilogy called “Mighty 7” which will consist of animated features, bi-monthly comics, and an animated series by Stan Lee. The story stars a fictional version of Lee in which he is hired by Archie Comics to create a new group of super heroes. While trying to get over writer’s block in the middle of the dessert, seven aliens crash land near him and Lee decides to use them as a basis for his new superheroes. In turn, he tries to teach them the way of the superhero and hilarity ensues.

At Comikaze Expo in Los Angeles this weekend, the cast for the animated series was announced. Armie Hammer will voice Strong Arm, a superhero with super strength; Christan Slater will voice Lazer Lord, a superhero who hurls balls of laser energy; Mayim Bialik will voice Lady Lighting, a superhero who possesses super speed; Teri Hatcher will voice Silver Skylark, a superhero who flies; Flea as Roller Man, a superhero who rolls into a big ball and launches at a high speed; Darren Criss will voice Micro, a superhero who shrinks in size; and Sean Astin will voice Kid Kinergy, a superhero with telekinesis. Jim Belushi will voice Mr. Cross, who is the leader of a covert operations military division assigned to investigate UFO sightings and Michael Ironside as Xanar, the leader of warring aliens from the planet Taegon who enslaves other planets and raids their natural resources.

This series is star-packed and is dubbed as “the first reality style comic book series.” The first feature is titled “Beginnings” and is slated to air on The Hub Network in early 2014. This marks the first superhero project from Stan Lee Comics.
