Syfy aquires new Werewolf drama ‘Bitten’

Syfy’s adding to its list of Canadian imports, this time with Bitten, a brand new drama centered on the first female werewolf, played by Laura Vandervoort (Supergirl on Smallville).

The 13-episode series is based on Kelly Armstrongs best-selling novels, Women of the Otherworld.

Here’s the synopsis from The Hollywood Reporter:

The series follows Elena as she attempts to escape a world she never wanted to be part of (as well as the man who turned her into a werewolf), abandoning her pack and taking refuge in a new city, where she works as a photographer and hides her werewolf existence from her boyfriend. When bodies begin turning up in her pack’s backyard, she finds herself back at Stonehaven, the werewolves’ ancestral domain, where she will stop at nothing to defend her pack.

Chris Regina, Syfy’s Senior VP of Programming has this to say of the series

Bitten is due to hit Syfy and Canada’s Space sometimes in 2014.
