Tom Hiddleston Filming Extra Scenes for Thor: The Dark World

Loki staring menacingly and sexily at cameraMarvel must have noticed the fan reaction to Tom Hiddleston’s cosplay as his character Loki at San Diego Comic-Con this year, because Hiddleston has gone back to film extra scenes for his character in the upcoming Thor: The Dark World. In an interview with Collider, director Alan Taylor said this about filming the new footage:

We’re doing full scenes… scenes that were not in the movie before. We’re adding scenes, creating scenes, writing scenes for the first time.

It was just we realized how well Loki was working in the movie, and we wanted to do more with him.

Taylor says that he doesn’t know the current run time for the film, so the additional scenes are apparently not an attempt to change the length.

Thor: The Dark World will be released on October 30 in the UK and November 8 in the US. Are you excited about more Loki scenes? Worried about them changing things with only a matter of months left until release? Hoping they’ll reveal Loki grew his hair out because he’s been moonlighting in a grunge band?
